You saved your pennies all winter long, preparing for that summer Tahitian getaway you’ve been waiting for. After tossing your bags in your room, you make way for the beach. Strap your snorkeling mask around your face, swim out in search for buried treasure and the next think you know a MOTORCYCLE COMES SURFING PAST YOU! You read that right. Insane stuntman Robbie Maddison, with the help of DC Shoes, has realized one of his lifelong dreams, to surf the famous waves of Teahupoo and Papara on his bike.
We don’t have much to tell you about the bike setup at this time, but DC shoes has a rumored behind-the-scenes video coming soon. There is this short 30 second clip showing a small amount of the testing that went into this 2.5 year project. It looks like the bike is running a pair of water skis hard-mounted to the front fork and mid-frame, with a paddle tire in the rear to grab as much water as possible. We’ll update this post with more info as we get it.
If you’ve read all this and haven’t watched the video yet, get after it. After, head on over to DC Shoes.
