For 2016, BMW Motorrad has introduced a number of facelift models to their extensive lineup including a special model R 1200 GS Triple Black. Along with the new TripleBlack, we are very excited about the new additions to the R 1200 GS Adventure model as well. Touring and Overland riders have touted the BMW GS as one of the best performing, most reliable, ready for anything bikes you can buy today. The moto community is buzzing about the new models and we can see why.
As if it wasn’t apparent with the name alone, the new 2016 BMW R 1200 GS TripleBlack is a direct response to customers asking for a virtually all-black finished motorcycle. The central fuel tank, fuel tank side panels and front mudguard are coated in Black Storm metallic paint together with black anodized fork slider tubes giving the legendary travel enduro a strikingly masculine touch. The front and rear frame sections are accentuated in Agate Grey in combination with the engine, gearbox and swing arm. The TripleBlack is fitted with cross-spoke style wheels using a black gloss rim base just like the R 1200 GS Adventure. This was previously available as a special equipment feature upgrade.
A new black-grey seat was also added with a bold “GS” applied on the passenger seat to round off the strong character of the new special model.
Adding to the already popular R 1200 GS Adventure model, BMW Motorrad has added new paint finishes and enhanced safety options for 2016. Those features include; banking-optimized ABS Pro braking, a dynamic brake light as a special equipment feature, Racing red non-metallic matte and Ocean blue metallic matte finishes. (Olive and Racing Blue finishes are no longer available)
Both of these new bikes including several other BMW Motorrad models will be available at select dealers this August 2015. Learn more at BMW Motorrad.
