Last summer, we introduced you to the Twin Six Standard Fat. The well-respected clothing companies first foray into a line of bicycles. Fast forward several months and over two years in the making, and the Standard Fat is finally available to purchase. If you’ve been following the Twin Six Instagram, you know Ryan and the guys have been thoroughly testing the new bike throughout Winter. Take a look.
The frame is constructed from T6 Standard 3.25 Titanium tubing using an optional QR or TA carbon fork. The 70.5º headtube measures 44mm, seat tube is 31.6mm, it has a 100mm bottom bracket shell and wishbone seat stays. Either carbon fork will accommodate a 26×4 tire with a 135mm front hub QR spacing, 170mm rear hub QR/TA spacing. It uses T6 Standard dropouts, has a complete cable housing setup for 1x or 2x systems, low mount ISO disc brake tabs and is compatible with the RockShox Bluto suspension fork. (Frame only $2,000)
If choosing the complete bike tickles your fancy, the SRAM X1 Built Kit includes; 175mm X1 Fat Bike cranks, X1 11-speed trigger shifter, X1 11-speed derailleur, X1 11-speed cassette, SRAM 100mm GXP bottom bracket, AVID Speed Dial 7 Levers, Avid BB7 front and rear brakes and a SRAM 11-speed chain. (Complete $3,250)
We got to see the bike first hand at Interbike last fall and we give you our word, it’s just as sexy in person as it is in photos. Head on over to Twin Six today to order yours.
