New for 2014, Bose has just introduced their QuietComfort 25 ($299) headphones, the successor to the extremely popular QuietComfort 15 model. When it comes to airline travel, I’ve yet to strap a set of cans around my head that do a better job of ridding my ears of crying babies and jet engines. The 25’s look better than ever, made with even more premium components than before, guaranteeing they look great and hold up to years of abuse. As a true audiophile, I don’t bother with anything that says “on-ear” or “in-ear”, on the box. If you’re going to truly enjoy your music, your headphones need to surround your ear and thats what the 25’s do.
I should let you know these are wired headphones. Another must have for achieving the highest level of sound possible. When they start making Bluetooth headphones that sound as good as wired, I’ll be the first in line. Until then, wired is still the way to go. The 25’s come with a 56-inch wired remote control cable to control your music and calls with it’s inline microphone. The ear cups rotate more than the 15’s did, which should make them fit just about anyone. Also included is an airline adapter, carrying case and AAA battery. Yes, you can still use them if your battery expires, minus the noise cancelling feature.
