We caught first glimpse of the new Chrome MOTOR bags over a year ago at the 2013 Interbike show. The bags were still under development with a Spring launch looming. Better late than never, Chrome has finally launched the MOTOR series bags with help from several motorcycle friends. The bags look pretty close to what we saw at the show. Surrounded in HD Ballistic nylon and tough as nails.
The new series of bags are designed to resist heat, abrasion, and weather. They tell us the HD Ballistic Nylon they used is 3x more heat resistant and 4x more abrasion resistant than traditional ballistic nylon. So, can it stop bullets? As only a seasoned rider would know, the bags also feature wind-stable strap keepers, so loose ends aren’t whipping you in the face down the road. Want to carry spare parts and tools? Not a problem. Tool pockets have been integrated into the bag to carry basic wrenches, tire gauges, spark plugs and even your toll road transponder.
The Motor Barrage Backpack has welded seams to keep the main compartment waterproof. The low-profile design and side compression straps keep the pack tight against your back and out of your vision. The main compartment expands from 22L to 34L. The 100% Welded-Waterproof bucket liner is made with 600 denier truck tarpaulin. Other features include:
- Integrated tool panel keep tools organized and accessible • 100% Welded-Waterproof rolltop closure accommodates a range of load sizes
- Dual compartments separate wet/dry cargo
- Industrial strength Velcro accessory mounting shoulder strap
- Easy access side bottle pockets
- Interior sleeve pockets fits 15” Macbook Pro(laptop sleeve recommended)
The roll-down front panel is a nice touch. Easy access is key to any good backpack. Pick one up today for $240 here.
