As many of you already know, I love me some Triple Aught Design. More often than not, when I travel outdoors, there is a TAD logo on my body or my back. The quality of their gear is second to none, from their EDC bags to belts. Today marks the launch of their latest performance base layer, the Pursuit Half-Zip. Made from Polartec Power Dry wicking polyester, this base layer hosts a wealth of technical qualities combined with a comfortable, highly breathable and easy to care for piece of kit.
The number one feature you need from a good base layer is the ability to wick sweat away from your body. The Pursuit Half-Zip uses “touch points” along the interior of the garment that draws moisture away from your skin while the exterior fabric spreads it rapidly to allow evaporation. TAD tells us that it will dry up to two times faster than standard cotton-only fabrics and stay 30% drier. Flat locked and overlocked seams provide protection from chafing and give long wearing comfort against your skin. Nylon reinforcements on the shoulder boost add durability from the wear of a full ruck.
