More from Twin Six:
OPERATION #RIDEMETAL: THE BIRTH OF A BIKE COMPANY
With the same philosophy on the which the company was founded 10 years ago (to design gear we wanted to wear), we set out to design and engineer a line of bikes that we wanted to ride. After two years of planning, designing, sampling, testing and refining, we are extremely proud to debut four purpose-built framsets at Interbike 2014.
The STANDARD FAT
Operation Ride Metal stems from our pride and dedication to the sport as well as our cycling heritage. With an everything you need and nothing you don’t philosophy, the Standard Fat is inspired by our hunger for precision and drive for classic aesthetics. The result is a lean T6 titanium machine weighing in at 4lbs 2oz (medium frame & fork). Paired with a svelte carbon fork and adorned by a Twin Six silver plated brass head badge the Standard Fat is your gateway into the uncharted.
The STANDARD 29
That’s the thing about metal… it leaves you feeling full of everything you need and nothing you don’t. It’s that feeling that inspired us to create the Standard 29, an authentic Reynolds 853 chassis that feeds our hunger for precision. Bathed in our signature aesthetic and adorned by our signature silver plated brass head badge the Standard 29 is our answer to dirt bike utopia.
The STANDARD CX
A wise man once told us, “Always enter the pain cave with a plan to get out.” It’s with that ideology we engineered the Standard CX, an authentic Reynolds 853 chassis which bleeds competition driven geometry. Adorned by our signature silver plated brass head badge, T6 designed dropouts, and covert cable stops the Standard CX is the epitome of Ride Metal.
The STANDARD RANDO
Guided by untamed winds and the pursuit of unexplored territory the Standard Rando was born. With an everything you need and nothing you don’t philosophy this jackknife is equipped to pedal beyond the horizon, across town, or to the corner store. Paired with a T6 steel fork and adorned by a Twin Six silver plated brass head badge the Standard Rando is your ticket to freedom.
We will be reporting live all next week from Interbike. Check back for new images of the bikes built up and ready to ride! More at Twinsix.com
