We spotted a photo on Kelli Samuelson’s Instagram a few weeks back of her riding a trainer in the backyard while getting soaked with a hose. Knowing that the Ritte Women’s Cycling Team is trying to get themselves to the Rás na mBan Women’s Bike Race in Ireland this September, we assumed it must be during the rainy season. This group of Southern California based women’s riders have teamed up with Ass Savers to launch a limited edition Ass Saver to help fund their journey.
100% of the proceeds (yes every cent) will go towards the Ritte Women’s Team travel fund to Ireland. The race is the premier women’s stage race that takes place over six stages in five days and covers 427km (265 miles). This is the second time the Ritte Women’s Team will line up at the event.
Ass Savers Jungho Kim shared his thoughts on the company’s sponsorship of the Ritte Women’s Team:
“At Ass Savers, we feel that as a company we should be supporting cycling equally and at as many levels as we can. Yes, this is a male dominated sport and that’s something which is quite apparent if you look. When we first started talking with the Ritte Women’s Team we found that they share the same kind of lightheartedness and enjoyment of cycling that we have, and of course they’re super dedicated to their sport and they take it very seriously. It just seemed natural to collaborate with them and we’re really excited to support women’s cycling.”
The ladies have been working hard, don’t make them sad. Head on over to Ass Savers and save your ass so you can save them a spot at the race! The Ritte Women’s Team Edition is available for €7.99 ($12 est.) exclusively from Ass-Savers.com. Worldwide shipping is available for free with the purchase of three or more. (Photos by Jess Carmody)
