In the past, we’ve seen a number of soft-sided coolers that have miserably failed at their job. “Will keep your beverages cold for 5 days!” Nonsense. Well, the guys at Yeti make some of the best hard coolers we’ve ever used. Over countless miles in the dirt, every Yeti cooler we’ve owned has proven to do its job and then some. So, when we heard about the new Yeti Hopper 30 Cooler launching this October, we wanted to keep eyes on.
Now, a soft-sided cooler is designed for someone specific. Those of you looking to throw one in the backseat of your pre runner for a Baja run, look away. Those of you that want to bring some brews to an outdoor festival, here you go. Sealed with a waterproof drysuit zipper, the Hopper will hold 6.5 gallons of whatever you want to carry. There is over an inch and a half of heavy-duty closed-cell foam insulation throughout the bag to keep your items cold to the touch. Yeti coolers aren’t known for being the cheapest, but you often get what you pay for. At $299, its a lot of coin, but if its anything like the hard-sided coolers we’ve tested in the past, it should last a very long time.
The Yeti Hopper 30 Cooler will go on sale this October. More here.
