Now here is something I can wrap my head around, or wrist. Motorola is making bold moves in the wearables category with their new Moto 360 smartwatch. As for the time being, Motorola is a Google company. As we mentioned earlier today talking about Android Wear, we now know that this was most likely the first intention or maybe we should say, first invention, coming from the Google Android Wear camp.
The Moto 360 looks gorgeous in both metal and leather/rubber strap (hard to tell from what we’ve been given). The round face of the watch is really where I think people are going to fall in love. Every other digital/wearable watch in this category is sporting a square/rectangular face due to the operating platform running it. Designing the Moto 360 around a round Android Wear OS lets us have a classic-style timepiece around our wrists. Let’s face it, a few of those early wearable watches look nothing more than a fitness strap.
I know I can’t wait to hear more from the Motorola team. Let’s hope its soon.
