The new HTC One M8 is knocking it out of the park across the mighty inter webs. We’ve been reading a lot of praise about HTC’s new Android smartphone. The new curved, all-metal unibody is definitely eye catching and looks pleasing in your hand. Did we spot two cameras on the back?
The new DUO Camera uses HTC’s UFocus technology, users can focus on objects in the foreground or background before or after they shoot the photo. The two cameras are shooting the entire scene regardless of where your intentional aim is set. (anyone else thinking Lytro Camera tech?) This also means a much wider spectrum for shooting panorama photos and improved low light performance.
The Audio also received a worth mentioning boost with HTC BoomSound. The M8 can reach up to 95dB of sound, more than you should ever want from your pocket. Using built-in amps, dual front facing stereo speakers and bass-to-treble balancing software, HTC promises the best possible sound you can get from a smartphone.
HTC Sense TV comes built into your new M8 giving you the ability to control your TV from anywhere. It’s more than just a Bluetooth controller though. The software will remember the shows you watch and suggest titles that may be of interest to you. HTC Sense TV Sports provides live sports news, allows you to set your favorite teams and be reminded of games and scores.
Other features include; 2.3Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GM of Ram, external MicroSD slot, metal unibody construction and a 5-inch 1080P screen. The front camera was also upgraded to a 5MP ultra wide angle lens. The new HTC One M8 is available right now from most major carriers. Head on over here for more info.
