We can already see the new 2015 Yamaha SR400 sporting drop bars, mid pegs and a deleted rear fender. Cafe Racers and Vintage Motoheads will fall in love with the new SR400. The bike is inspired from the original Yamaha S400 and priced around $5,900, it’ll leave the showroom as quickly as it enters. The bike is a lightweight at only 384lbs and sports the only kickstart in the US. Yamaha really wanted us to remember 1978. The 399cc engine is not all old school, its a SOHC two-valve that is fuel-injected so it can meet emissions regulations and make that KICK easier to start. We’ve even read that Yamaha claims the kickstart is so smooth to operate it can be done by hand. Look for the new bike to show up in showrooms later this year. Learn more at Yamaha.
