Calling your inner-child, wake up its time to have some fun! Okay, so at first glance, I didn’t think “WOW! An exciting new offering from Honda”. However, the more I look into the 2014 Honda Grom, the more I like it (aside from the name). The bike uses a 125cc fuel-injected engine with a 4-speed transmission. Yes, it actually has a clutch (I think they should make an auto version as well). Hydraulic disc brakes are surrounded by 12-inch 10-spoke wheels. Curb weight is a mere 225lbs and it will hold 1.45 gallons of fuel. Does anyone else think this looks like a shrunken Super Moto?
Does anyone else smell a Super Mini Moto series brewing or just me? You won’t win any races, you won’t drive it on the highway and you won’t be taking long off-road adventures with the Grom. But, you will probably have a ton of fun scooting around town with your buddies, because the Grom is street legal. If you’re looking for all the technology of a full-size bike in a smaller package for around $3,000, give it a look. www.powersports.honda.com
