I rolled into town a little late to capture all that is the Interbike Outdoor Demo today. Most of the day was spent talking the talk amongst fellow bike people. Tomorrow, I am hoping to throw my leg over a few trust steeds and see more of the latest and greatest. Scott from 9 ZERO 7 bikes got a kick out of my business card and wore it proudly! Tomorrow, I plan on getting some time on one of their bikes. The fat tire bikes have peaked my curiosity for a while now, I have to try one. We don’t have much snow around SoCal but who cares! How fun would this be riding along the ocean in Newport.
Crank Brothers has a show special going on for a limited run of all their pedals in glorious Purple. Get em while they’re hot! I recently switched all my bikes to Eggbeaters and couldn’t be happier.
Of all the bikes I wish I didn’t sell, it would have to be my Ellsworth Evolve. No, this isn’t an Evolve but it is a gorgeous Epiphany. The new Evolve just behind the Epiphany is on my list of rides for tomorrow. See you soon.
This battery powered Kreidler bike looked rather interesting. Look for more on these tomorrow. I personally don’t care much for bikes unless they are self powered. Maybe I will take one for a spin and see what the hype is about.
Chris King brought out a ton of drool worthy colored goodies as per usual. I ran a pair of green CK hubs on my Ells a few years ago and loved them. The rattlesnake sound they make keeps the lions away. Or maybe it was just in my head. Checkout this 1978 original Cielo mountain bike. Sweet!
Goodies of all flavors to suit any build.
The 2013 BH RX Team Disc CX bike was looking pretty sweet. This is another must ride for tomorrow. Looks like a fast machine! Disc bikes are littered around the demo. Road, CX, mountain, they are coming whether you embrace it or not.
I didn’t see any of these Stromer’s out on the trails today but I have to image they are popular around high-traffic urban cities for business commuters who don’t wanna break a sweat getting to work in the morning. Surprised to see a front fork on this one. I wonder if they take it off sweet jumps?
Whenever the conversation of Titanium bikes comes up, I always think Moots. Gorgeous bikes that have been ridden by some of the best riders out there. One day maybe I will call one my own. Every frame is handcrafted in Steamboat Springs, CO.
If you’ve been waiting to try a pair of the new Oakley Radar Locks, nows your chance. Oakley has a fleet of them ready for test rides. FYI: they are a worthy upgrade and I can already see myself upgrading my current 4 pairs of Radar’s. Damn it.
What’s a good hot day in the desert without a good looking girl getting ready to be dunked? Right?
Despite the 100 degree day, the Outdoor Demo was packed and happening. See you tomorrow.
