When I first heard about LifeProof cases, I was like most, skeptical. Is there really a case that can take a beating, is completely waterproof (not water resistant like most even though they claim proof), still lets me access my buttons, the headphone jack and isn’t as bulky as carrying a stuffed animal in your pocket? Can you tell I was a bit skeptical? With all of the outdoor activities I partake in, I was anxious to get a hold of one. I can report to you now after having owned a LifeProof case for almost a year that it works exactly as advertised. My iPhone has been dunked in the pool, used while enjoying a relaxing evening in the spa, fallen out of my pocket while mountain biking and even kicked in the dirt while hiking. I can explain. The case has never let me down.
New from LifeProof is their Nuud for the iPad. If I had one thing to complain about the LifeProof iPhone case it would be the tactile difference of using the screen protector versus your bare finger on the glass screen. With the amount of text messages and emails I send on a daily basis, there are times I leave my LifeProof case at home. It can be a little frustrating on the fingers. The Nuud case seems to use their new “naked screen technology”, which doesn’t cover the screen? Call me confused? Somehow, this case must seal itself around the rim of the iPad and prevent water from getting into your goods. I really hope the claims are true and this fizzles down to their iPhone cases soon. I would probably never take it off my iPhone! LifeProof, are you listening?
Hopefully, I will get my hands on one of the new Nuud cases for my iPad 2. I live with my iPad and travel with it often. It would be great knowing it would be protected from my frequent Starbucks visits (coffee spills), blogging from the mountains and watching movies in the jacuzzi. If anyone has one, please let me know how you are liking it! More: www.lifeproof.com.
